Making the plays

What goes into “being nice”? Well, we treat all of our teammates, customers, and our partners with respect. We assume good intent and work hard to achieve mutual trust and understanding. We understand that we all bring our own unique perspectives to the team and that with those perspectives may come some unconscious biases. So, while we have the confidence to voice our opinions, we also have the humility to listen and learn from others. Here at The DIFS Group, we strongly believe that different experiences, perspectives, and backgrounds will lead to a better team experience and a better experience for our customers. Think about it – without different players, a sports team’s plays would be pretty lame. There is a reason that our favorite teams aren’t made up of all captains, they have many roles but one purpose.

Leading the team

The primary thing we look for in our managers and leaders is the willingness and courage to lead. Leaders at The DIFS Group need to be courageous as well as resilient and adaptable. They need to build healthy teams and hold themselves accountable. With purpose lead teams, engagement and drive follow will. We don’t hire highly competent people to have them micro-managed. We use continuous development and one-on-ones to open communication rather than admin-heavy, time-consuming talks. We believe that it is not our responsibility to manage talent – we’re here to develop talent.
